Niagara Region

A small-town feel that is thriving in its own way.

Niagara Region in A Nutshell

The Niagara region is family-oriented, tourist-friendly, and truly coming into its own as a place to put down roots.

Who Lives Here?

The Niagara Region encompasses a vast array of towns and communities, so it has a lot of everything on offer. First, you’ll find a lot of families who have decided to make this their own.

Then, there’s a fair deal of young couples and first-time buyers who have become interested in the area. In addition, newcomers from other countries are also coming to make this place home.

The Good & The Not So Good

What We Love

The surrounding attractions, like Niagara Falls, and Niagara on the Lake obviously need no introduction. We also love the many wineries, breweries, and the distance to the US border.

What We Don't

If you’re looking for a big city, you won’t find it here, and the job prospects can often be limited (at least for the time being).

What About The Neighbourhoods?

The Niagara Region is split into several distinct regions and towns, as follows:

Niagara Falls

Who could forget Niagara Falls? This landmark is the heartbeat of the region, and the surrounding community is filled with options for buyers, from condos to detached homes and more.

Welland

A charming town in the heart of the region, Welland is perfect for those who appreciate small-town living. It’s location close to Port Colborne, on Lake Erie, is another benefit, too!

St. Catharines

One of the largest, and most charming, towns in the region. St. Catherines is lively and has a lot of options for buyers of all stripes. The craft beer scene here is thriving, too!

Niagara-On-The-Lake

The tourist destination of the area and one of the most charming places to be, historic Niagara-On-The-Lake is filled with boutiques, restaurants, and century homes galore.

Smithville (West Lincoln)

Looking for something a bit more rural? Tucked away in the Niagara Region is Smithville, which is a fast-growing community of newer homes that is fast becoming its own unique place to be.

Beamsville / Vineland (Lincoln)

A small town that lives right next door to some of the area’s best wineries, Beamsville lies within the fruit belt of the Niagara Peninsula. Those who love nature, community, and a detached dream home will love it here.

Grimsby

The town of Grimsby neighbours Stoney Creek as the closest town to Hamilton (and Toronto). For this reason It’s an upscale community and one of the most expensive places to live in Niagara.

Our Local Favourites

Because this area is made up of so many smaller communities, here’s what we’d recommend if you find yourself searching in this area.

Start with Niagara Falls, for the beauty, and then head anywhere along the Niagara Wine Route. You’re likely going to love the Niagara-On-The-Lake Heritage District, and Falls Manor Restaurant is another great spot.

Then, head to Lundy’s Lane for a unique collection of boutiques and plazas that offer a little something for everyone.
